Montenegro, Budva presented its offer and rich content for the upcoming spring and summer season

Budva The tourist organization will present its offer and rich content for the upcoming spring and summer season 2023 at the 44th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade.

On the first day of the fair, the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Budva, in cooperation with the Municipality of Budva and Sea Dance, will announce the details for the ninth edition of the festival and the names of the performers who will perform on Budva’s Buljarica beach this summer.

The carnival announces a new season
Numerous cultural and entertainment events are planned on the Budva riviera, a rich gastronomic offer in more than 100 restaurants, enjoyment on one of the 30 beautiful beaches along the 25 kilometers of indented coastline. About 50 kilometers of hiking trails have been arranged, and a free application for mobile phones – BudvaTrails – is available, which allows you to search data on all hiking trails in the territory of the municipality of Budva.

On the second day of the fair, the 20th anniversary Carnival in Budva from April 28 to May 2 will be announced with a performance by members of the NGO “Feštađuni”, dancers and the Budva group “Priganitze”, under the slogan “Let’s dance together, so that our hearts beat stronger!”.

The ”air performance will be dedicated to the promotion of Budva as a city-finalist in the candidacy for the European Capital of Culture in 2028. And presenting the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of this city. Along with the performance of the “Habanera” string quartet, an appropriate cocktail will be organized for partners and friends from Serbia.

During all three days of the fair performance, at the TO Budva stand, valuable prize draws will be organized, prepared by numerous Budva restaurateurs and hoteliers, and visitors can expect beautiful promotional gifts, souvenirs and rural products, while the ladies from the “Budva Women’s Association” have prepared delicious coastal delicacies that visitors will be able to taste.

Nemanja Kuljača, director of the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Budva, says that Budva’s appearance at the Tourism Fair in Belgrade is an opportunity not only to present the tourist offer of the destination and all accommodation facilities in the area of the Budva Riviera, but also to meet friends of the city, business partners and future collaborators.

Budva candidate for European capital of culture 2028.
– Traditionally, we start our promotional campaign in Serbia, which represents our most important market, with which we are connected by strong friendship and numerous emotions. This year, the emphasis is on Budva’s candidacy for the European Capital of Culture, in which we have the wholehearted help of our friends from Novi Sad, a sister city, whose experience and knowledge, we are convinced, will lead Budva to victory. Also, at the fair, we will present numerous manifestations for which we are recognized in the region and which will certainly attract a large number of visitors from Serbia, who we cordially invite to be part of the unique atmosphere. TO Budva, in addition to the well-known events “Carnival”, “Dan Širuna”, “Petrovačka noć”, will once again organize the “Season Opening Ceremony”, which will mark the beginning of the summer season.

New manifestations
The tourist organization has also prepared a new event “Budvan Festival of Games”, intended for all ages, which will include a review of plays, concerts of Montenegrin artists, exhibitions about theater, children’s workshops, art films, ballet workshops for children and young people, round tables, and a DJ parties. The festival will be held in the first half of June and will last 15 days. Traditionally, TO Budva will be the co-organizer of the famous summer festivals “Sea Dance”, “Montenegro Sun Reggae”, “Petrovac Jazz”. The “Grad Teatar Budva” festival will be held for the 37th time at well-known locations in the Old Town, from July 5. Until 22.08. when more than 50 programs of drama, literature, music and visual arts will be shown.

Accommodation at slightly adjusted prices
The offer will include 32,000 beds in rooms, apartments, villas and houses for rent and over 140 hotels, more than half of which are categorized with 4 and 5 stars. For the needs of MICE tourism, most of them have large congress halls specially equipped for this type of service, and there are other facilities such as SPA and wellness centers, outdoor pools, green oases, small boutique hotels and tourist resorts with children’s playgrounds that captivate with the charm of a seaside town.
The prices will remain similar to last year, and a slight price correction is expected, if the economic situation and trends in tourism so dictate.
In addition to numerous cultural and entertainment events, lovers of rural, active and sacred tourism can expect a rich and high-quality offer that is becoming more and more popular. The Church of Santa Maria in Punta, the Church of the Holy Trinity, the Cathedral of St. John, the monasteries of Stanjevići, Duljevo, and Praskvica are just some of the many religious buildings that are worth visiting.
