Montenegro and Indonesia explore enhanced cooperation in tourism, transport and trade

Montenegro and Indonesia see significant potential to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors, particularly in tourism and transport, given the natural and cultural resources of both countries.

President of the Montenegrin Parliament, Andrija Mandić, met today with the newly appointed Indonesian Ambassador to Montenegro, Andrean Ervin.

Mandić welcomed the ambassador and expressed confidence that his tenure would contribute to further strengthening bilateral relations. He emphasized that Montenegro and Indonesia maintain traditionally good and friendly relations, which should be reinforced through deeper political, economic, and cultural cooperation.

The two officials agreed to focus in the coming period on enhancing parliamentary diplomacy to foster greater mutual understanding between the countries.

Mandić also highlighted that through the development of the Port of Bar, the Belgrade–Bar highway, and the railway, Montenegro could become a gateway to Europe for the Indonesian market.

Ambassador Ervin thanked Mandić for the reception and pledged to dedicate his mandate to strengthening ties between the two nations and bringing their peoples closer together.
