The Independent Union of Montenegro Airports (ACG) has sent letters to the highest state officials regarding the concession of Montenegrin airports, demanding that each of them, within their respective domains, influence the Government to make a decision that will be in the best interest of the citizens and the country.
The Independent Union of ACG addressed the letters to the President, Prime Minister, and Speaker of Parliament, Jakov Milatović, Milojko Spajić, and Andrija Mandić, as well as the Minister of Transport, Maja Vukićević.
They called on the Government to make decisions in the best interest of the citizens and the state, and urged Milatović, Mandić, and Vukićević to use the authority of their positions to influence the executive branch to make such a decision, with full transparency and consideration of all relevant factors.
“The unions will continue to fight for the preservation of ACG as a state resource and the protection of their members’ rights,” stated the letters signed by Milivoje Dragićević, President of the Independent Union of ACG.
The same appeal was also sent to all parliamentary clubs in the Assembly.
The Union believes that the Government must, first and foremost, reopen dialogue with social partners and all relevant stakeholders to present all aspects of the potential concession, particularly the cost-effectiveness analysis, long-term economic effects, and the impact on jobs and economic development, and provide clear answers to key questions.
