On December 3, 2025, Montenegro’s aviation reached a major milestone. For the first time in history, three million passengers passed through Podgorica Airport and Tivat Airport within a single year, according to Airports of Montenegro (ACG).

The record was achieved on this morning’s Air Montenegro flight operating the Belgrade–Podgorica route.
The three-millionth passenger, pleasantly surprised with a gift upon landing by ACG’s Executive Director Roko Tolić, was Nebojša Krog from Belgrade. He received three round-trip tickets on the Air Montenegro Belgrade–Podgorica route and three nights of accommodation in Montenegro’s capital. Nebojša arrived in Podgorica to participate in the inaugural International Festival of Theatre Directing “Jagoš Marković.”

Executive Director Roko Tolić congratulated all teams from both airports on achieving this historic result, stating that this success confirms that a bright future lies ahead for Airports of Montenegro.

Air Montenegro’s Executive Director Vuk Stojanović expressed his satisfaction that the milestone passenger was served on a flight of the national airline. He noted the interesting coincidence: the three-millionth ACG passenger traveled on the third Air Montenegro aircraft. Given the airline’s support for cultural projects, he added that it was meaningful that the passenger was involved in a festival dedicated to Jagoš Marković, something that brings pride to the company and to Montenegro as a whole.

A modest ceremony was held at Podgorica Airport, attended by ACG Board Chair Jelena Maraš, Deputy Executive Director Petar Radulović, and the directors of Podgorica and Tivat airports, Dragan Milanović and Ivan Rakočević.

Airports of Montenegro expressed gratitude to all passengers, partner airlines, the Civil Aviation Agency, and Air Traffic Control of Serbia and Montenegro for contributing to this shared success.
