Montenegro’s Minister of Tourism, Simonida Kordić, highlighted the country’s potential to become an attractive year-round destination due to its unique combination of coastline and the unspoiled nature of the north.

The Ministry is implementing programs and incentives to overcome seasonality and promote balanced regional development. The northern region, with its natural beauty and authentic experiences, is seen as a key driver for year-round tourism, focusing on ski resorts, adventure, active, and wellness tourism.

Digitalization is a central priority, with a comprehensive platform in development to showcase the country’s full tourism offerings—from hiking and cycling to cultural heritage and coastal attractions—making tourism in Montenegro more accessible, personalized, and informative.

Sustainability remains a core principle, with nature considered both the main asset and product of the country’s tourism. Additionally, Montenegro is investing in business tourism (MICE) to further reduce seasonality and diversify its tourism sector.
