The Ministry of Finance has started preparations for amendments to this year’s Budget Law, focusing primarily on technical adjustments in line with the new government structure and the improvement of the capital budget.

The changes are mainly due to the establishment of new ministries and the need to create a legal framework for implementing capital projects. However, the amendments will not involve changes to fiscal and macroeconomic assumptions or key budgetary indicators.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the amendments are being prepared and will soon be sent to the Government for further decision-making. The adjustments are related to the recent changes in the organization of state administration, including the formation of the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Energy and Mining, which will take over responsibilities from the Capital Projects Directorate and the Ministry of Mining, Oil, and Gas.

Additionally, technical corrections will be made to capital projects based on finalized project documentation to create a legal basis for issuing public calls and starting their implementation. These changes will not affect macroeconomic and fiscal assumptions or key fiscal indicators.
