The spatial plan of the municipality of Nikšić will most likely be adopted by the end of this summer, the president of the Nikšić Municipal Assembly (SO) Nemanja Vuković told RTNK. With that, Vuković pointed out, significant investments planned by the companies Big Fashion and Lidl will begin to be realized in Nikšić.

If we had a Spatial Plan last year, our relationship with investors would have already ended. A drastic plan is what is expected and it is completely understandable since it is a comprehensive document. It is not easy to pass it, you have to take into account everything that is the profession and what the needs are, but I really hope that by the end of the summer we will have adopted the Spatial Plan and that we will be able to enter into the finalization of those investments because it is something extremely important for Nikšić – said Vuković.

The arrival of the mentioned two companies in Nikšić will further reduce the number of unemployed, and Vuković is convinced that this will attract numerous other investors. The local self-government, he said, insists on supporting the economic development of the city and attracting investors.

That is one of our two biggest tasks. Of course, all tasks are important and equally important, but in my opinion the most important thing was to attract new investments and create new jobs. And what I believe is decisive when we talk to investors is that we who are in the management of the Municipality position ourselves as partners, not as racketeers.

Why as partners – because I believe that it is our obligation to give the maximum and invest the maximum in order to attract an investment of three jobs and of five and of ten and of 50, and in this way we will reach these large investments that we have today and it seems to me that we have been quite successful in this in the past two years.

I truly believe that all businessmen, those who had the need to cooperate with us and those who had the desire, found an outstretched hand and that we gave the maximum to the extent of our possibilities to support good ideas, to support good initiatives because the economy and realistic the sectotor is definitely what this country needs – Vuković pointed out, among other things.
