Kolašin is set for major development with the planned construction of a gondola from the town center to the Kolašin 1600 ski resort, funded through the 2025 capital budget. Documentation for the project is nearing completion, and a tender is expected soon.

The local government is also completing a sports zone near Tara, including football, basketball, volleyball, and tennis facilities, along with a multifunctional indoor hall and a seasonal “balon” hall for winter training.

Significant road infrastructure projects are underway to improve traffic flow, including removing bottlenecks at key intersections and connecting streets near the planned gondola, with investments totaling several million euros.

Plans for artificial lakes aim to enable consistent snowmaking at the ski resort, ensuring a predictable ski season regardless of weather conditions.

Local authorities are also focusing on rural road improvements and youth retention, supporting agriculture, subsidies, and initiatives to encourage residents to stay and invest in Kolašin.

Overall, the combination of modern infrastructure, sports facilities, and tourism investments aims to make Kolašin a year-round destination while improving the quality of life for its residents.
