Hungarian operator to launch tourist trains to Montenegro in 2025

Representatives of the Hungarian operator Continentaltrain.com have announced plans to launch two tourist trains from Hungary to Montenegro, scheduled to operate in May and October of this year, with three additional trains planned for next year.

This initiative marks the continuation of the successful collaboration that began in September 2023, which allowed Hungarian tourists to travel by train to Montenegro and experience its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, according to a statement from the Railway Directorate, reported by the portal Analitika.

The Railway Directorate held a meeting with representatives of the Hungarian company, the private railway operator Continentaltrain.com.

During the meeting, the importance of railway tourism as an eco-friendly and attractive mode of travel was emphasized.

The Railway Directorate, as stated, will provide support for the implementation of this project to ensure safe and high-quality transportation, offering a unique experience of traveling through Montenegro’s spectacular landscapes.
