The government approved the Information on the implementation of the electricity bill subsidy program, which will be in effect from January 1 to December 31, 2025.
Damir Gutić, the Minister of Social Welfare, Family Care, and Demography, stated that new consumers can apply for the electricity bill subsidies by submitting a request to the relevant social work center, local government office for veterans and disability protection, or the employment bureau of the Employment Agency of Montenegro, depending on the consumer category.
Subsidy recipients only need to apply once to receive the subsidy continuously.
The Government of Montenegro remains committed to protecting vulnerable groups, and this measure contributes to achieving that goal, according to the Ministry’s statement.
