Elektroprivreda Crne Gore plans to build the Štedim solar power plant near Nikšić with a total capacity of approximately 137 MWp. The plant is expected to produce around 169.72 GWh annually in its first year of operation.
The project covers about 250 hectares across several cadastral parcels in the Kuside and Štedim areas. To achieve the planned installed DC capacity of 137.028 MWp, the plant will consist of 23 smaller solar units, each using 10,272 photovoltaic modules arranged in numerous equal rows.
The site includes the Štedimska Cave archaeological location, so solar panel installation will avoid a radius of about 150 meters from the cave entrance.
The location is considered to have significant potential for solar power development, according to the environmental impact assessment request submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency.
