The Boards of the Association of Managers of Montenegro (AMM) proposed to the new government six key points within the activities in the field of digital transformation, which should inevitably be included in the work program of the future executive power.
The committees for digital transformation and for the application of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies of AMM, recognizing the importance of new technologies and the opportunity that Montenegro has in this field, consider that this moment in light of their introduction must not be missed in any way, nor irrationally dilute.
In AMM, due to its importance for the economy of Montenegro, they invited the future prime minister to personally take over the management of digital transformation as an extremely important development point.
They proposed that the head of that organizational unit be a proven ICT expert with many years of real experience in Montenegro or abroad, that this position be protected from political influences, and that the head hierarchically answer only to the prime minister
“We suggest that the Single Digital Counter and Online Company Registration project be implemented as soon as possible. In accordance with the new initiatives, we propose the adoption of a system that enables online registration of companies, as well as the introduction of e-residencies that would facilitate business and attract foreign investors and companies, as well as focusing on other e-services: e-citizen, e-tourism, e – delivery and e-invoice”, the announcement states.
They proposed that in the mandate of the 44th government, the IT sector be promoted as a strategic branch of the economy, with all the benefits and obligations that such promotion requires.
“In order to strengthen domestic IT capacities, we propose to legally strengthen and prefer the use of domestic IT resources, prevent tenders that eliminate the application of domestic IT companies, and introduce a recommendation that foreign bidders in the process of introducing information technologies must have local IT experts as partners or companies”, the statement added.
“The digital future of Montenegro should be a solid point of support, around which there should be no room for compromises or uncertainty. Managers, i.e. management structures, are the key bearers of change and innovation in every organization, and in this sense, as an umbrella leadership and management organization, we are ready to provide our expertise and help in this important process, in accordance with our capabilities, through the mentioned committees”, the announcement concludes.
