In July 2025, consumer prices in Montenegro increased by 4.5% compared to July 2024, according to Monstat data. Month-on-month, prices rose by 0.6%.
The biggest monthly inflation drivers were higher prices for motor fuels and lubricants, accommodation services, meat, fruit, solid fuels, dairy products, air passenger transport, bread, and cereals.
From January to July 2025, consumer prices were on average 3.5% higher compared to the same period last year.
By category, notable monthly price increases in July were recorded in restaurants and hotels (3.4%), transport (2.6%), recreation and culture (0.9%), housing and utilities (0.8%), other goods and services (0.7%), food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.6%), household furniture and maintenance (0.3%), health (0.2%), and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.1%).
Price decreases were seen in clothing and footwear (3.7%) and communications (0.1%).
Prices in other categories remained largely unchanged.
