Nina Drakić, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro (PKCG), stated that the institution will continue working toward a stable, predictable, and stimulating business environment, with a special focus on improving the economic system through economic policy measures.

After being re-elected as PKCG president, Drakić emphasized that the Chamber’s strength depends on the engagement of its members, and that in the coming period, her goal will be to make the business community an active partner in shaping the economic environment and preparing for the European market.

She highlighted that PKCG will focus on three strategic goals in the next four years: advocacy for business interests before decision-makers, enhancing competitiveness and promoting Montenegrin businesses, and modernizing services to align with modern standards.

To achieve these objectives, the Chamber plans to propose policy measures to improve the business climate, strengthen education and internationalization, and continue implementing EU-funded projects.

During her first term, PKCG organized over 200 sectoral meetings, submitted more than 60 initiatives to remove business barriers, and carried out over 300 educational activities attended by around 12,000 participants. The Chamber also implemented 32 international projects and supported Montenegrin companies’ participation in 33 business forums and 26 trade fairs across Europe and beyond.

Drakić announced several digital transformation projects, including eKomora, a 24/7 digital platform for member services, document exchange, and data access; the development of AI-based tools to assist small and medium enterprises with legal, financial, and market insights; Mapa inicijativa, a platform to track the status of PKCG’s business proposals; and a new Biznis MeetUp network connecting entrepreneurs, financiers, and innovators across Montenegro.

To help local companies prepare for EU integration, PKCG will launch the EU Info Desk – Path to the Single Market, providing practical tools, information, and access to EU funding programs such as Horizon Europe, COSME, Erasmus+, and LIFE. The new EU Ready digital tool will assess companies’ readiness for the EU market and suggest improvement measures.

Drakić concluded that her vision for the future is clear: a Chamber that connects, an economy that progresses, and a future built together. By combining tradition with modernization, PKCG aims to reinforce its role as a pillar of Montenegrin society ahead of its 100th anniversary in 2028.
