Broadband connections see small increase in December, with optical network growth

The total number of broadband connections at the end of December, regardless of the technology used for access, reached 206.21 thousand, slightly higher than in November.

Compared to the same period in 2023, the number of broadband connections in December increased by 1.65%.

The number of users accessing the internet via optical networks (FTTH/B) was 104.25 thousand, which is 158 more than in November.

In December, 53.98 thousand users accessed the internet through the cable distribution system (HFC/KDS).

The number of VDSL connections stood at 29.68 thousand, while ADSL connections totaled 16.31 thousand.

According to data from EKIP, there were 1.91 thousand WiFi connections in December.

The number of other connections (satellite internet, MPLS, leased lines) was 268, which is 66 fewer than in November.
