The company Bemax will pay the state 28.4 million EUR due to avoided capital gains tax and accrued interest, announced Momo Koprivica, Deputy Prime Minister for Political System, Justice, and Anti-Corruption.

“Following the report I submitted, Bemax will pay the state a total of 28.4 million EUR for avoided capital gains tax and calculated interest,” Koprivica wrote in a post on the X network.

He stated that, although Bemax attempted to avoid this obligation through a contractual arrangement, the law was stronger.

Koprivica emphasized that this serves as a message to everyone that the time for tax evasion and behind-closed-doors agreements is over.

“The fight for justice and equality before the law continues. Institutions must serve the citizens, not the privileged,” Koprivica concluded.
