Bar Port has received a Liebherr LHM550 mobile harbor crane, delivered in parts and scheduled for assembly by September 6. The €4.9 million investment, excluding VAT, includes two clamshell grabs for handling bulk cargo.
The new crane will replace damaged equipment from the July 2024 accident and support operations such as coal handling for EPS, as well as future cargo projects. With a nominal lifting capacity of 144 tons and a maximum outreach of 54 meters, it can handle bulk, general cargo, and containers efficiently.
