Tivat Airport sees significant passenger growth, surpassing pre-pandemic levels

Tivat Airport welcomed 228,146 passengers in July, marking an increase of 57,641 compared to the same month last year, according to the Zamaaero portal.

This number represents 81.5 percent of the passenger traffic from July 2019, when 279,795 passengers were recorded.

The airport also saw 2,429 operations in July, nearly 300 more than during the same period last year.

In terms of cargo, Tivat Airport handled one ton in July, which is 1.9 tons less than in the same month last year.

Since the beginning of the year, Tivat Airport has served 602,336 passengers, conducted 7,053 operations, and processed 13.6 tons of cargo.

Overall, Montenegro’s airports have handled 1,580,642 passengers since the start of the year, representing 111.3 percent of the passenger numbers from the same period in 2019.
