Ministry of Economic Development to implement margin limits on basic foodstuffs this weekend

The Ministry of Economic Development will prepare a decision over the weekend to impose margin limits on essential food items.

Minister Nik Đeljošaj has requested an urgent telephone session of the government in response to this matter.

This action is being taken in light of announced price increases for basic food items in stores, with the aim of protecting citizens’ living standards.

The decision will cover essential food items, including: wheat flour type 400, wheat flour type 500, granulated sugar, edible sunflower oil, and table salt (1 kg), according to a statement from the government to RTCG Portal.
